Acquired Hemophilia: A Clinical Experience (Scientific Article) (Case Study)

Introduction Acquired hemophilia A is a rare bleeding disorder due to autoantibodies produced against Factor VIII. We report two cases of acquired hemophilia A seen in our practice. The first case involves a 20 year female who presented with retroperitoneal bleeding 3 months postpartum, and the second case is of a 61 year old female who presented with forearm bleeding and compartment syndrome. In this article, we review our clinical experience and current clinical expert opinion and treatment guidelines.
