Dr. Forest Tennant has had a long, distinguished career in addiction 
and pain medicine. He was recently honored with a "Life-Time 
Achievement Award" by Pain Week and "50 Years of Service" by the 
journal, "Practical Pain Management" where he served as their 
medical editor for 12 years. Dr. Tennant began his career in addiction 
and pain medicine as a US Army medical officer during the Vietnam 
War Era at which time he helped develop the Army's drug testing, 
education and treatment programs. After the Vietnam War, he 
became a Public Health Fellow assigned to the UCLA School of Public 
Health where he obtained his Masters' and Doctorate in Public Health 
(MPH, DrPH). Since 1975 to the present day, Dr. Tennant has 
produced a steady flow of research and publications in addiction and 
pain medicine. During this time his public notoriety first emerged 
when he served as an expert witness in the criminal trials of the 
physicians of Howard Hughes and Elvis Presley. Later he developed 
the drugs of abuse and anabolic steroid testing programs for the Los 
Angeles Dodgers and the National Football League. In very recent 
years Dr. Tennant has chosen to research hormonal testing and 
treatment of intractable pain and the merging pain problems of 
adhesive arachnoiditis and genetic collagen disorders. He and his wife 
Miriam of 52 years reside and work in West Covina, California and 
Wichita, Kansas.
