In this article, I review my personal odyssey in dealing with Hodgkin’s disease over the past 8 years in an attempt to share insights on coping with illness. My purpose is to help physicians both professionally, as they interact with patients, and personally, as they face illness themselves or help a family member, colleague, or friend face illness.
