The Disabled Doctor: A Guide for Medical Students with Disabilities on Self Advocation, Obtaining Accommodations, and More

A guide on improving self advocation techniques, identifying programs with strong disability departments, obtaining USMLE and COMLEX board exam testing accommodations, and much more. 

Dr. Janik is a recent graduate of a U.S. Medical School despite the presence of a learning disability stemming from a Traumatic Brain Injury sustained in a motor vehicle accident as a child. Now he shares experiences in medical school through the eyes of a student with a disability in order to help other student’s with disabilities and raise awareness of certain related issues within the culture of modern medicine.
